Course Overview

This BCI Developing & Managing the Business Continuity Plan course will cover how to develop business continuity (BC) plans, about invocation and action plans, and how to make the business continuity plan operational. The activity in this training course leads into the validation stage of the business continuity management (BCM) lifecycle.

This BCI training course is delivered as a one day, live online training course by an approved BCI tutor. Scheduled breaks will be provided within each session. During the course, delegates will be able to use their microphones to take part in discussions and ask the tutor any questions, there is also the option to use a webcam too. Interactivity features used during the training may include the use of breakout sessions for group work, polls and quizzes. The course is delivered via GoToTraining.

Details & Programme

This BCI Developing & Managing the Business Continuity Plan course provides the business continuity and resilience professional with the opportunity to gain more in-depth knowledge of the implementation stage of the business continuity management lifecycle. The Implementation stage is where the business continuity plan is developed, managed and implemented as a key element of the overall business continuity management programme.

During this course students will be using a case study and taking part in group discussions and exercises.

The Good Practice Guidelines 2018 is the recommended reading for this course. The course is based on the GPG and reflects the current global thinking from ISO 22301.
