James McAlister

James McAlister is the Director of Crisis Prepared Limited an organisational resilience consultancy and former police officer with over 30 years experience in Business Continuity, Civil Protection, Crisis / Emergency Management, Security, Firearms, Public Order and Training. 

He has advised, planned and contributed to many operations and exercises throughout the UK and internationally including political party conferences, major sporting events, VIP visits, counter terrorism operations, public order events and environmental / man-made disasters.

James is a Director and the Chair of the Business Continuity Institute, a former chair of the BCI Global Membership Council, North West Region Forum and Police North West Region Group. He is a Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute and Institute for Civil Protection & Emergency Management

James has won a number of prestigious awards including the BCI ‘European Public Sector Business Continuity Manager of the Year 2014’ and a 'Highly Commended’ at the BCI Global Awards 2014.
