Why should you use this standard?
Business continuity contributes to the development of a more resilient society. Organizations without an effective BCMS in place risk significant vulnerability and the resulting impact on employees, customers and suppliers. BS ISO 22301 gives an organization access to the requirements of a BCMS that will enable it to prepare for disruptive incidents that might otherwise prevent it from achieving objectives.
This international standard – BS EN ISO 22313 – provides guidance, where appropriate, on the requirements specified in BS ISO 22301 and provides recommendations (‘should’) and permissions (‘may’) in relation to them.
