Gain Funding for BC Training Courses

17 Nov 2023

An exciting opportunity has been highlighted by our Director, Charlie Maclean-Bristol.

Would you like to enhance the cybersecurity skills of your employees without any cost to your organisation?

The Public Sector Cyber Upskilling Fund, supported by the Scottish Government’s Cyber Resilience Unit and administered by ScotlandIS, is now available. The fund aims to help public sector bodies improve and accredit their employees’ cybersecurity skills, making the organisation more cyber resilient.

Applications from EDI target groups are particularly welcome, and the fund will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

As an employer, you can claim up to £5000 per employee (maximum of £7000 per organization) to pay for cyber skills training. Apply now by filling out an application for each employee stating the course or qualification they wish to take and its cost.

  • Priority will be given to:
  • Emergency Services
  • Local Authorities
  • NHS Boards
  • Scottish Environment Protection Agency
  • Scottish Water

Priority will be given to organisations who meet the criteria and were unable to secure funding previously.

If you have been considering enrolling yourself or team onto our Certificate in Cyber Incident Management (NCSC Assured Training), this would be the perfect opportunity to apply! The course goes hand in hand with the funding as it’s aimed at preparing organisations to manage their cyber response at the strategic/crisis management level.
